This is an action packed private day tour of the sites, history and events of the Revolutionary War era in Boston, Cambridge Lexington & Concord. We drive the Freedom Trail with stories of the city's 400 year history, the events, people and sites which led up to the war. In the oldest neighborhoods of the city, we'll give context to historic events like the Boston Tea Party, Boston Massacre and Battle of Bunker Hill. We'll take a quick walking tour of Harvard, explain the role it played in the start of the war and where George Washington himself spent time. A 10 mile drive gets us to Lexington Green where we take in the significance of the site and the story of what happened that night in April 1775. Next the picturesque town of Concord, to the Old North Bridge and how the second battle of the war took the British by surprise. Pick up and drop off in Downtown Boston, a stop for lunch along the way (not included in price of tour) and as light or heavy on history as you'd like.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this tour? I'm considering it for my kids.

A: There isn't a strict age limit for the tour, but younger kids might not be super engaged with the history. I've taken my 10-year-old, and he loved the stories, especially about the Boston Tea Party! Just be prepared for a fair amount of walking at the historical sites.

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of our tour? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes, you can reschedule if the weather is really bad! Just reach out to Trailblazer Tours, and they'll work with you to find another date. They want everyone to enjoy the experience without worrying about the rain or snow.

Q: How long is the tour and what should we wear?

A: The tour can vary in length but usually lasts about 6-8 hours, depending on your stops and how much detail you want! Dress comfortably and wear good walking shoes since there’s a bit of walking involved, especially at sites like the Old North Bridge.

Just took the Boston tour and WOW!

I went on the Boston Cambridge Lexington and Concord private tour last week, and I can't recommend it enough! The driving through the Freedom Trail was so cool, and we learned so much. Lexington Green was my favorite stop. Just a heads up—bring a camera, you'll want to capture everything!
