Q&A

Q: How long is the tour and can we reschedule if something comes up?

A: The tour usually lasts about 3-4 hours, which includes the walking portion and time spent at Democracy Brewing for lunch and tastings. If you need to reschedule, Hub Town Tours is pretty flexible with changes as long as you give them a heads-up at least 48 hours in advance. Just make sure to check their policy when you book!

Q: Is this tour suitable for kids? How about the food options?

A: Yes, kids are welcome on the tour! The historical aspect can be really engaging for them, and they’ll love the brewery lunch. For food, they offer kid-friendly options as well, like grilled cheese and fries, so no worries if they’re not into lobster rolls or clam chowder. It's a great family outing!

Q: What should we wear for the tour? Is it a lot of walking?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes since you’ll be walking quite a bit! The Freedom Trail is about 2.5 miles long, but it's broken up by stops at the landmarks. Dress in layers too, since Boston weather can be unpredictable. Rain jackets are a good idea if there’s a chance of showers.

Thinking about gifting the Freedom Trail History Tour & Brewery Taste

I’m considering this experience as a gift for my history-loving dad's birthday. I love that it combines walking around Boston with beer tasting at Democracy Brewing! I’m a little worried about how much walking there is though since he has some knee issues. Anyone have thoughts on the pace of the tour? Is it manageable?

Just got back from the Freedom Trail tour and loved it!

Wow, this tour was amazing! Our guide was super knowledgeable and made the history come alive. The beer tasting at Democracy Brewing was a perfect ending. I tried the lobster roll and it was delicious! Highly recommend it if you're in Boston. Just a heads up, wear comfy shoes!
