We'll see the sights on Boston's Freedom Trail and get a closer look by leaving the car and walking inside some locations (depends on day and hours of operation for some sites). We'll have time to go aboard the USS Constitution (closed Mondays). A close-up experience in the oldest neighborhoods of the North End, Beacon Hill, School Street, and Charlestown. Look at places of events and the people from different periods of the settlement of Boston, and the American Revolution. If weather isn't favorable, we can revise the walking portions according to your wishes. A favorite stop is Faneuil Hall, the Great Hall Meeting Room and the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company Museum (hours vary).

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on this tour?

A: There's no strict age limit for the Boston Freedom Trail tour, so kids are definitely welcome! It's a great way for families to learn about history together. Just keep in mind younger kids might get tired with all the walking, so plan on taking breaks. We had my 7-year-old along, and he loved it!

Q: If the weather's bad, can you still do most of the stops?

A: Absolutely! If the weather isn’t great, the guide can adjust the itinerary to focus on places that allow for more indoor exploration. Just let them know your concerns beforehand. When I went, it drizzled a bit, but we still saw some amazing sites and stayed dry!

Q: How far in advance should I book this tour?

A: It's best to book at least a few weeks in advance, especially if you're looking to go during the summer months when tourist traffic is high. I booked mine about a month ahead and got a great spot. Some locations also have limited hours, so it’s good to check those when booking.

Considering the Boston Freedom Trail tour as a gift for my history buff dad!

Hey everyone! I’m thinking about getting my dad the Boston Freedom Trail Private Car Tour for his birthday. He’s really into history and I think he’d love walking around the North End and Beacon Hill. I’m a bit worried about how much walking is involved, though. Anyone have experience with this tour? What were your favorite parts?

Just did the Boston Freedom Trail tour and it was incredible!

I just got back from the Boston Freedom Trail Private Car Tour and wow, it was such an amazing experience! We went to the USS Constitution and walked through the historic North End. Our guide was super knowledgeable about all the sites! I really loved Faneuil Hall and the Ancient Artillery Museum. Highly recommend this for anyone visiting Boston. I was a bit nervous about the walking parts, but it was totally manageable!
