Q&A

Q: Is there a specific age limit for this walking tour? Can kids join?

A: There's no specific age limit for this self-guided tour, so kids can totally join! It's family-friendly and you can go at your own pace. Just keep in mind that some parts, like the Freedom Trail, may involve walking on busy streets, so keep an eye on the little ones. Plus, if you have a stroller, you might want to check out the terrain in some areas, like Beacon Hill.

Q: What happens if it rains on the day I plan to do this tour?

A: Good question! Since this is a self-guided tour, you can definitely reschedule for a better day if it rains. Just make sure to check the forecast ahead of time. Also, I’d suggest bringing a rain jacket and waterproof shoes if you decide to go out in light rain, since the audio guide will still work. Just be careful on the slick streets!

Q: How is parking around Boston for this tour? Is it easy to find?

A: Parking can definitely be a challenge in Boston, especially in busy areas like the Freedom Trail. I recommend using public transport if you can. But if you drive, look for parking garages near Faneuil Hall or the Boston Common. They’re a bit of a walk from the tour start, but it’s better than street parking, which can be tough. Just plan ahead, and allow extra time to find a spot!

Thinking about the Boston Highlights Walking Tour as a gift!

So, I’m considering getting the Boston Highlights self-guided walking tour for my parents' anniversary. They love history and exploring new places at their own pace. I think it'll be awesome for them to wander through the Freedom Trail and check out the North End’s food scene. Has anyone done this? Any recommendations on what they should definitely check out?

Just finished the Boston Highlights Tour - WOW!

I just did the Boston Highlights self-guided walking tour last weekend, and it was amazing! The audio guide was super informative, especially the parts about the Boston Massacre. Walking around Beacon Hill felt like being in another time period! Just be sure to wear comfy shoes because you'll be on your feet a lot. Can't wait to go back and explore the North End for some delicious cannolis next time!
