Q&A
A: Great question! There aren't any official age restrictions, but keep in mind it's a walking tour that lasts about 2.5 hours. If your teen is comfortable with walking and has an interest in history, they should enjoy it. Just make sure they can handle being in a small group setting, as there can be a lot of talking and walking involved.
A: Definitely dress comfortably! This tour is mainly outdoors and you'll be walking a lot. I'd recommend wearing good walking shoes and dressing in layers since the weather in Boston can be unpredictable. A light jacket and a hat could be helpful, especially if it’s sunny.
A: Parking in Beacon Hill can be tricky. There are some street parking spots, but they fill up quickly, especially on weekends. I'd recommend using a parking garage if you can. The Boston Common Garage is a good option and it's close to where the tour starts. Just factor in some extra time to find a spot!

Looking for gift ideas - Boston Underground Railroad History Tour!
Hey everyone! I'm considering gifting the Underground Railroad History Tour of Beacon Hill to my history-loving partner. We haven’t done a walking tour before but it sounds amazing. I love that it includes the Black Heritage Trail and that it’s a small group setting. Has anyone done this? What was the experience like? Any tips?
Just did the Underground Railroad Tour - so worth it!
I just got back from the Boston Underground Railroad History Tour and wow, it was incredible! Walking through Beacon Hill and learning about the abolitionist movement was both enlightening and moving. The group was small and the guide was super engaging. If you're thinking about this as a gift, do it! We even visited the African Meeting House, which was a highlight for me.
