Explore the Boulder Islands on Lake Mead by your choice of kayak, SUP, or hydrobike, paddling a scenic 2.5-mile loop with two stops for swimming and a short hike to panoramic lake views. The small-group tour combines expert guiding, snacks, drinks, and provided gear with plenty of time to relax, swim, and enjoy the area’s pastel volcanic cliffs and secluded beaches. Q&A

Q: Are there age or weight restrictions for this tour?

A: There are no strict age restrictions, but kids over 6 usually enjoy it best. As for weight, the kayaks and hydrobikes can support most adults, but it's good to check with the provider. Just reach out to River Dogz and they'll help you out!

Q: What's the best time of year to do this? Is it too hot in the summer?

A: Late spring and early fall are absolutely perfect! Summer can be scorching, but mornings or sunset tours help beat the heat. The water feels great, and the views at sunset are just stunning!

Q: What should we wear? Is swimming involved?

A: Definitely wear a swimsuit underneath your clothes! You’ll get to swim at the stops, and it’s super refreshing. Comfortable sandals are good for the hike too. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat!

Thinking of gifting the Boulder Islands Tour! Any experiences?

I'm looking to surprise my sister with this kayak tour at Lake Mead! It sounds awesome, especially with the swimming and the hike. I’m a bit worried about the heat though, and if it’s beginner-friendly. Anyone done this before? What did you think?
