If you're looking for something to do in New York City during this holiday season make sure you put this on your list! It's cheery, it's bright, it’s Christmas, it's NYC, it's everything Christmas about Christmas! This Brooklyn neighborhood, looks like it is out of this world during Christmas time. Dyker Heights Christmas Lights is the cutest and most spectacular area of houses decorated for the holiday season. It's blocks and blocks of Christmas lights and fantastic decorations. The neighborhood goes all out with beautiful nativity displays, nutcrackers, inflatable santas, lights and more. The place glows with bright lights, buzzes sound, and literally bumps with holiday music on full blast. It's fun to see how some houses mix it up every year. It is a recommended experience and a perfect night out for families, groups of friends and even a date night! This is a great place to go if you enjoy taking pictures, as there are a lot of photo opportunities!

Q&A

Q: What's the best time to go on the Dyker Heights tour? Are there any peak times to avoid?

A: Evening is definitely the best time to see the lights when they’re all lit up! If you can, aim for a weekday rather than a weekend. Weekends can get pretty packed with tourists and locals, so you might spend more time in traffic than enjoying the lights. Going on a weekday will give you a more relaxed experience.

Q: Are there age restrictions for kids on this tour? Can younger kids come?

A: No age restrictions that I know of! Young kids are totally welcome, and they usually love the lights and decorations. Just make sure to bring a stroller if your little one isn’t walking yet, as there’s quite a bit of walking involved during the tour.

Q: How does parking work around Dyker Heights during the tour? Is it hard to find a spot?

A: Parking can be tricky during the Christmas season since Dyker Heights gets super crowded. If you're driving, I'd recommend arriving early to hunt for a spot. Alternatively, consider using public transport or ride-sharing to avoid the hassle altogether. It’ll make your night way more fun!

Thinking of gifting the Dyker Heights Christmas Wonderland Tour!

Hey everyone! I’m looking into getting the Dyker Heights Christmas Wonderland Bus Tour for my family this holiday season. I’ve heard it’s absolutely magical with all the lights and decorations! What’s it like during the week? I want to make sure we have a great experience and not get stuck in traffic. Any tips would be appreciated!

Just got back from the Dyker Heights tour!

Wow, what an experience! We went last Saturday and I was blown away by how festive everything was. The decorations are over the top in the best way possible. The kids absolutely loved the giant inflatables! Definitely worth it if you love Christmas lights. Oh, and our guide was super knowledgeable about the neighborhood’s history.
