Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd recommend this for kids at least 10 and up, depending on their comfort level with hiking. The terrain can be a bit rugged in places and it's a 4-mile round trip, so just keep that in mind. We took our 12-year-old and she loved it! Just make sure they’ve got decent shoes and can handle some moderate elevation.
A: Definitely wear sturdy hiking shoes! The terrain can get a bit tricky, especially around the colorful domes. I'd also recommend breathable clothes since it can get warm, and don’t forget a hat and sunscreen. Bring layers if you’re going early in the morning or later in the evening as it can cool down.
A: Yes! The provider is pretty flexible about rescheduling due to weather. Just make sure to give them a call as soon as you know you need to change plans. They want everyone to have a great experience, especially since rain can make the trails slippery and unsafe.

Wow, the views at Candy Cliffs were mind-blowing!
I just did the Candy Cliffs hike last weekend and I can’t stop raving about it! Seriously, the colors are like nothing I’ve seen before. The hike was moderate, which was perfect because I’m not super fit but managed just fine. We packed snacks and plenty of water, which was necessary. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves photography or just wants a chill hike with stunning views. Plus, it’s just over an hour from St. George, so it’s super easy to get to!
Thinking of gifting the Candy Cliffs experience!
I’m looking at the Candy Cliffs hike as a gift for my partner’s birthday. He loves nature but I’m a bit nervous about the difficulty level since he’s not a big hiker. Has anyone done this who can share how they managed? I really want this to be a memorable experience for him!
