Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for the Canyonlands backcountry tour, but it's recommended for kids 5 and up due to the nature of the terrain. Just make sure they can sit comfortably in the vehicle for a few hours and are okay with some bumpy roads. It’s a great family experience if everyone’s up for a little adventure!
A: Wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dusty. Layers are key since it can get chilly in the mornings and warm up quickly. Sturdy shoes are a must for any stops where you might want to explore or take photos. And don't forget a hat and sunscreen!
A: Yes, you can easily reschedule! The tour operators are pretty flexible and will work with you if the weather isn’t right. Just give them a call a day or two in advance, and they’ll help you find a new date that works for you.

Just got back from the Canyonlands backcountry tour and WOW!
I took the Canyonlands National Park backcountry tour last weekend and it was incredible! The views from Musselman Arch were breathtaking. Our guide was super knowledgeable, sharing cool facts about the geology and history of the area. The snacks and water were a nice touch, and we stopped a bunch of times for photos at the best spots. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting Moab!
Considering this tour as a gift for my parents!
I’m thinking of getting the Canyonlands backcountry tour for my parents who love nature. They’re in decent shape but not super active. Do you think this is a good choice for them? How strenuous is the ride? Any tips?
