Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but I’d say kids around 8 and up can really enjoy it! Just make sure they're comfortable in a kayak. They provide life jackets for all sizes, so safety is a priority. It’s a great way to bond with your kids while spotting wildlife!
A: Definitely wear a swimsuit or quick-dry clothes! You might get splashed a bit. Also, sunscreen and a hat are a must, especially for the sunset tour. Bring a light jacket just in case; it can get chilly when the sun goes down.
A: Parking is pretty easy! There’s a small lot right by the launch area along HWY 12. If it's busy, you might have to park a little further down the road, but it’s not a long walk. Just arrive a bit early, especially during peak season!

Just got back from the Cape Hatteras Kayak Adventure - WOW!
I went on the sunset tour last week and it was absolutely breathtaking! We saw so many ospreys and even a couple of river otters! The guides were super chill and made the experience really fun. The sunset over Pamlico Sound was unreal. Perfect gift for my partner's birthday! Can't recommend it enough.
Thinking about gifting the kayak tour to my sister - any advice?
So I found this Cape Hatteras kayak adventure and I'm considering it as a gift for my sister's birthday. She loves nature and I feel like this would be perfect! But how hard is it for beginners? Should I be worried about the weather? Anyone done it?
