Q&A
A: The Captain Cook Snorkel Tour is great for families! There are no strict age limits, but kids should be comfortable swimming and ideally at least 5 years old. Just check with the operators if you have younger ones; they'll give you the best advice on whether it's suitable. It's a chill experience, so perfect for kids to enjoy snorkeling!
A: You should definitely wear a swimsuit! A rash guard is a good idea for sun protection too. Flip flops are fine for the boat but bring some water shoes or sandals for when you’re getting back on. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen! You'll be in the sun a lot during the tour.
A: Yes! The tour provider is generally pretty flexible with rescheduling. Just make sure you give them a heads-up at least 24 hours before your scheduled time. It’s nice to know you have some wiggle room in case plans change!

Thinking about gifting the Captain Cook Snorkel Tour - any advice?
I’m looking to surprise my family with the Captain Cook Snorkel Tour on the Big Island. I read it’s good for beginners and families. Just wondering how the experience was for those who’ve done it. Is there enough time to snorkel? Any tips for first-timers?
Just did the Captain Cook Snorkel Tour - WOW!
OMG, the snorkel tour was amazing! We went to sea caves and checked out lava tubes. The historical narration added a cool touch. My kids loved it and felt safe in the water. The check-in process was smooth too. Highly recommend it if you’re on the Big Island!
