READ THIS. START TIME IS IS NOT THE DEPARTURE TIME. START TIME IS THE CHECK IN TIME. DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY. THERE ARE TWO MEETING POINTS FOR THIS TOUR. PLEASE READ ALL TOUR DETAILS BEFORE BOOKING AS THIS TOUR IS NOT SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE. If you are new to snorkeling this is the ideal choice! Particularly good for families with younger children or swimmers who aren’t certain if they are “seaworthy” enough for one of our longer trips. This trip is much slower-paced and affords guests time to become more familiar and comfortable with the exciting and beautiful sport of snorkeling. We offer several different times slots to fit your schedule. The times shown indicate the check in time. Tour duration includes time to check-in and receive gear. Snorkel participants must be comfortable swimming. Looking for more snorkel time? We also offer a Deluxe Snorkel Tour that includes snorkeling at two different reefs. Check out our other listings for more details.

A: You should definitely wear a swimsuit! A rash guard is a good idea for sun protection too. Flip flops are fine for the boat but bring some water shoes or sandals for when you’re getting back on. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen! You'll be in the sun a lot during the tour.

Thinking about gifting the Captain Cook Snorkel Tour - any advice?

I’m looking to surprise my family with the Captain Cook Snorkel Tour on the Big Island. I read it’s good for beginners and families. Just wondering how the experience was for those who’ve done it. Is there enough time to snorkel? Any tips for first-timers?

Just did the Captain Cook Snorkel Tour - WOW!

OMG, the snorkel tour was amazing! We went to sea caves and checked out lava tubes. The historical narration added a cool touch. My kids loved it and felt safe in the water. The check-in process was smooth too. Highly recommend it if you’re on the Big Island!
