Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for participants in the private photography lesson?

A: There's no strict age limit for the Capture D.C. experience! It's perfect for everyone, from kids to adults. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need some help with the camera. If you're bringing kids along, let the photographer know in advance, and they can tailor the lesson for them.

Q: What should I wear for the photography lesson? Any tips?

A: Comfort is key! You’ll be walking around D.C., so wear something you can move in easily, and consider the weather. Bright colors can pop in photos, but avoid busy patterns that can distract. A nice pair of shoes is a must since you’ll be on your feet a lot!

Q: How does the private portrait session work during the tour?

A: During the lesson, you can have friends or family join you for a 30-minute portrait session at specific spots. Just let the photographer know ahead of time who’s joining, and they’ll plan the best locations. It’s a fabulous way to capture special moments in D.C.!

Just had the Capture D.C. photography lesson and it was incredible!

I just did the Capture D.C. experience and wow, it was fantastic! The photographer was super knowledgeable and took us to some amazing spots around the National Mall. I learned so much about my camera. Plus, we did a portrait session with my sister at the Lincoln Memorial, and those photos came out beautiful! Highly recommend this for anyone looking to up their photography game while exploring D.C.

Thinking about gifting the Capture D.C. lesson, any thoughts?

I want to gift the Capture D.C. photography lesson to my girlfriend for her birthday. She's really into photography but hasn't had formal training. How do you think she'd like it? Also, is it easy to book a session?
