Q&A

Q: Is there a time limit for starting the tour once I buy it?

A: Nope! Once you purchase the tour, you can start it whenever you want. You get lifetime access to the VoiceMap app, so you can take your time planning your trip or even go back if you want. Just make sure to download the audio and maps beforehand if you're going to be in areas with spotty service.

Q: How difficult is the walking portion? I'm not in great shape.

A: The walking is pretty casual and self-paced, so don't worry too much! There are some gentle hills and it's mostly on paved paths. You can always take breaks at the beautiful viewpoints along the way. It’s definitely doable even if you’re not a regular walker.

Q: Is there parking available near the start point?

A: Yes, there's parking available near the Walker House Cabin where the tour begins. Just keep in mind that it can fill up quickly, so it's a good idea to arrive early, especially on weekends. Alternatively, there are some street parking options not too far away.

Just did the Carmel Point audio tour and WOW!

I recently did the Carmel Point audio tour with my sister last weekend, and I can't recommend it enough! The views of Point Lobos and Carmel Beach were absolutely breathtaking. We started right at the Walker House Cabin and followed the app with our phones in our pockets. It was really cool to learn about the history and see the unique homes. Perfect for a casual day out! Will definitely do it again.

Thinking about gifting the Carmel Point tour—thoughts?

I’m considering gifting this self-guided audio tour to my parents for their anniversary. They love exploring and history, and I think they’d enjoy the stories about the houses and nature. Has anyone tried it? Good idea or nah?
