Q&A
A: Kids as young as 7 can join, but they need to fit in the provided life jackets and be comfortable on the water. It's a great family outing! Just keep in mind that the guides are really good at accommodating all skill levels, so it’s a fun experience for everyone.
A: You'll want to wear something comfortable that can get wet. A swimsuit or quick-dry shorts are perfect. Also, bring a light layer in case it gets chilly! Definitely don't forget sunscreen and a hat - even if it's cloudy, the sun can be strong out there.
A: If the weather is too rough or unsafe, they’ll reschedule your tour. Portland Paddle is pretty good about communicating this ahead of time, so you won’t be left in the dark. If you can’t make the new date, you can get a refund or credit for future use. Just keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your tour!

Thinking about gifting the Casco Bay Kayak Tour! Any thoughts?
I'm considering this half-day sea kayak tour for my sister's birthday. She loves being outdoors, and the chance to see seals and lighthouses in Casco Bay sounds amazing. Has anyone done this? What was the snack like, and how tough is the paddling for beginners?
Casco Bay Sea Kayak Tour Review
Just got back from the Casco Bay Kayak Tour! It was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday morning. We saw so many seals, and the views of the lighthouses were stunning. I was worried about being a beginner, but the instructor made it easy to follow along. Highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Maine!
