Discover Central Park, by bike with this affordable bike rental. The beauty of Central Park’s design is whether you have an hour or a full day, starting at 59th street (Columbus Circle), there are countless attractions like the magical carousel, Alice in Wonderland Sculpture, and Lake (think Stuart Little). The Dairy and Balto statue too and if you have time, stop and play a game at the chess and checker’s house. The famous Bethesda Fountain seen in hundreds of movies, the literary walk with statues of literary giants, and Strawberry Fields are close to one another, and all are just in the lower half of the park and perfectly doable in an hour. Beyond 72nd Street all the way to 110th, there is so much more and with a little more time, you can make the full five-mile circle! In the warm weather enjoy a carousel ride or picnic in Sheep Meadow and in the winter. A spin around the ice-skating rink. We provide a Central Park map so that you can chart your own path in your own time.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for renting bikes at Central Park?

A: Yes, you can rent a bike starting at age 12, but kids under 12 need to ride a bike with an adult. They might have kid-sized bikes, but it’s a good idea to call ahead and check! Also, don’t forget that helmets are provided, which is great for safety!

Q: What should I wear if I go biking in Central Park?

A: Dress comfortably! I’d recommend wearing athletic wear and good sneakers. If it's sunny, don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses. Layers are a good call if it’s chilly in the morning. You’ll want to be comfy for all those stops at the carousel and Bethesda Fountain!

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can I reschedule?

A: Yes! If the weather looks iffy, you can definitely reschedule your rental without any extra fees. Just reach out to Cycle Park NYC directly, and they’ll help you pick another date. They’re pretty flexible with that kind of thing!

Thinking about gifting a Central Park bike rental!

Hey guys, I’m considering this Central Park bike rental for my sister's birthday! She loves being outdoors and I think it’ll be perfect since she lives in NYC. I love that they provide a map to explore attractions like the Alice in Wonderland sculpture and Bethesda Fountain too. Has anyone done this before? What are your thoughts?

Just did the Central Park bike rental and had a blast!

I went biking in Central Park last weekend and it was amazing! We rented bikes at Columbus Circle and rode around for an hour, hitting spots like the Bow Bridge and the beautiful lakes. The weather was perfect too! Highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore the park. Just a heads up, make sure to wear comfortable shoes!
