Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the 2-tank night dive in Oahu?

A: Yes, the minimum age for participating in the night dive is typically 12 years old, but they need to be accompanied by a certified adult diver. It’s always best to check with Dive Oahu directly for the most current policies, though.

Q: What should I wear for the night dive in Hawaii?

A: You should wear a wetsuit, which is usually provided by Dive Oahu, but wearing a swimsuit underneath is a good idea. Bring a light jacket for when you're on the boat after the dive since it can get a bit chilly at night. Don’t forget your reef-safe sunscreen for before and after!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the dive?

A: If the weather doesn't cooperate, Dive Oahu is usually really good about rescheduling. They’ll communicate with you directly about any changes, so it’s best to keep an eye on your email as the date approaches. Safety is their priority, so if it’s unsafe to dive, they won’t take you out.

Just booked the 2-tank night dive in Oahu!

I’m super excited! I’ve been wanting to dive at night for ages. The chance to see sharks and rays swimming around sounds amazing. I booked it for next month, and I can't wait to experience the underwater nightlife! Anyone have tips for preparation? Also, what's it like diving in the dark?

Did the night dive last week—what an experience!

I just got back from the 2-tank night dive in Oahu and wow, it was unreal! Our guide was super knowledgeable, and we definitely saw a bunch of cool sea life, including a huge turtle and some manta rays. The snacks on the boat were really nice too! I'd recommend it to anyone who's a certified diver. Such a unique view of Hawaii's underwater world.
