What could be better than a Sunset Trail Ride at Lake Louisa State Park? A sunset trail ride with champagne and charcuterie! Enjoy beautiful sunsets and evening wildlife during the magical golden hours. This ride is family-friendly, and safely led by two experienced and friendly wranglers. No previous riding experience is required. Rides will follow a special route, and arrive back to the barn roughly 30 minutes before sunset. While the wranglers put the horses to bed, guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne (must be 21 or older with valid ID) or sparkling cider, charcuterie board, and roasting s'mores over a campfire. Required arrival times are 30 minutes BEFORE the start of the ride. Start times are strictly enforced to ensure the ride is safely back at the barn before sundown.

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for the champagne and charcuterie ride? Can kids join?

A: This ride is family-friendly, so kids can definitely join! They’ll enjoy the sparkling cider while adults can have champagne. Just make sure kids are at least 7 years old to ride, and everyone needs to be there 30 minutes early. It’s a great way for families to bond outdoors!

Q: What should I wear to the sunset trail ride? Is it casual?

A: Definitely go for casual and comfy! I’d recommend long pants and closed-toe shoes since you'll be on horseback. A light jacket could be nice since it gets cooler after sunset. And don’t forget sunscreen if it’s sunny!

Q: What happens if it rains on the day of the ride? Is there a cancellation policy?

A: If there’s rain, they usually reschedule for the next available date. They want to keep things safe and enjoyable. Just make sure to check the weather leading up to your ride, and you can call them for updates. They’re super friendly about it!

Thinking about gifting the Champagne and Charcuterie Sunset Trail Ride!

I’m considering getting this for my partner's birthday because we both love nature and good food. The idea of riding horses while sipping champagne and enjoying a charcuterie board sounds amazing! Has anyone done this before? What was your experience like? Also, how’s the wildlife during the ride?
