Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join the Charleston Chicora Walking Tour?

A: Great question! The Charleston Chicora Walking Tour is suitable for all ages, but keep in mind that younger kids might get a bit restless during the 2-hour duration. We recommend bringing something for them to keep busy, like a small snack or a little toy. The guides are super accommodating, so feel free to let them know if your kids need any special attention!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the tour? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather looks sketchy, you can absolutely reschedule! JWalk Tours is pretty flexible about that. Just reach out to them at least a day in advance, and they’ll help you find another time. It’s always better to enjoy the tour when the weather's nice!

Q: What should I wear for the Charleston Walking Tour? Is it a tough walk?

A: Comfort is key! Wear comfortable shoes since you’ll be walking for 2 hours on mostly paved streets. Charleston can get pretty warm, so light clothing is a good idea, but also bring a hat or sunglasses. The walk isn't very strenuous, but you will definitely want to be prepared for some elevation in a few areas!

Just did the Charleston Chicora Walking Tour, and it was amazing!

I can’t recommend the Charleston Chicora Walking Tour enough! Our guide was super knowledgeable and had some great stories about the city’s history. I loved how they mixed in funny anecdotes with the serious stuff, it kept things really engaging. Even the heat didn’t bother me because we had plenty of shade stops. It was a perfect way to experience Charleston in just two hours!

Thinking about gifting the Charleston Walking Tour!

I’m considering this for my parents’ anniversary. They love history, and this seems like a fun way to celebrate. Anyone know if there are any good spots to grab lunch nearby after the tour? I want to make it a full day for them!
