Q&A
A: There's no strict dress code, but I'd recommend wearing something comfortable since you'll be walking on cobblestone streets. Casual yet neat is a good way to go! Also, keep in mind the weather—Charleston can get pretty warm, so breathable fabrics are a plus.
A: The tour is designed for adults, but kids are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Just keep in mind that the focus is on beer and history, so it might be more enjoyable for older teens who are interested in the historical aspect!
A: In case of rain, the tour typically goes on unless the weather is severe. They might adjust the route a bit to stay under cover more. It’s always a good idea to check the forecast and bring an umbrella just in case!

Just did the Charleston History and Hops Tour—here's my take!
I recently went on the History and Hops Tour with Captain Bryan, and it was amazing! We started at this cute bar on Meeting Street where we got a snack and some cool local beers. The history he shared was super interesting and not boring at all! We walked through the old alleys and saw some gorgeous buildings. I totally recommend it as a gift for friends or family visiting Charleston!
Thinking about gifting the History and Hops Tour—thoughts?
I’m thinking about buying this tour for my parents as a fun experience while they’re in Charleston. They love beer and history, so it seems like a perfect match! But what if they don’t enjoy the drinks—are the historical bits engaging enough?
