Q&A
A: Honestly, spring and fall are the best times to go! The weather is mild, and you'll enjoy strolling around without sweating buckets. Summer can be super hot and humid, so if you have to go then, early mornings or later in the day are your best bet. Just be prepared with water and sunscreen!
A: The tour is about 2 hours long, and while there aren’t formal bathroom breaks, the guide is usually accommodating if someone needs a quick stop. Just let them know ahead of time. You’ll be walking around the Historic District and the South of Broad area, so plan accordingly!
A: Comfortable walking shoes are a must! The tour covers a lot of ground in the Historic District and the streets can be uneven. Sneakers or supportive sandals work great. Leave the heels at home, trust me!

Thinking of gifting the Charleston History Tour to my parents!
Hey everyone! I stumbled across the Charleston History, Homes, and Architecture tour and think it’d be an awesome gift for my parents. They love history and architecture! Has anyone done it? Is it worth it? I love that it lasts 2 hours and explores places like Rainbow Row. Would they enjoy the stroll through the South of Broad area?

Wow, I just got back from the Charleston History Tour, and it was fantastic! Our guide was a local with so many cool stories about the homes and churches. Rainbow Row was even more colorful in person! Highly recommend it if you love exploring history on foot. Don't forget your comfy shoes!
