Your pirate guide will lead the group on a 1.5-hour walking tour through historic downtown Charleston. You will begin at a bar housed in a historic building where guests will have time to purchase and enjoy a delicious libation as the guide tells them about Charleston's fascinating haunted history. Then you will depart for a walking journey of the rest of Charleston's spooky French Quarter. Please keep in mind that this is a walking tour! Per city law, Alcohol must NEVER be taken out of the bar. Tour route and drink stops are subject to availability. All guests must be 18+ with Valid ID, and 21+ with valid ID to consume alcohol. Alcohol is NOT included.

A: Yes, you can reschedule the tour! Just make sure to contact Nightly Spirits directly. They’re pretty flexible, but it’s best to let them know as soon as you can. Also, remember the tour fills up quickly, so try to reschedule for a date that has spots available.

Q: Is it suitable for younger folks, like my 17-year-old?

A: Unfortunately, this tour is for 18+ only. They check IDs strictly, so your 17-year-old wouldn't be able to join. If you’re looking for something fun for them, maybe check out a different ghost tour in Charleston that allows younger guests?

A: Dress comfortably! It’s a walking tour, so wear shoes that are good for walking. Charleston can get pretty humid, so breathable clothes are a plus. Also, check the weather — if it looks rainy, bring a light jacket and an umbrella. You’ll be walking through the French Quarter, so it can get a bit spooky at night!

Just did the Charleston Nightmares and Nightcaps Tour!

I went on the Charleston Nightmares and Nightcaps Ghost Walking Tour last weekend and wow, it was such a blast! The pirate guide was hilarious and really knew his stuff about the haunted history of the city. Starting at the bar was a perfect touch – I had a great cocktail while hearing some wild ghost stories. The walking part through the French Quarter was super atmospheric at night! Highly recommend for a fun night out!
