The Women and Wine is a combined history and bar tour that will include two bar stops and historic sites in between. Designed by two locals Gia and Capt. Bryan the focus of this experience is on women who changed the scene politically, socially, and economically in this city of firsts. Feel free to purchase a glass of wine/beer/ or cocktail in a wine bar started by female entrepreneurs and be introduced to women who were active in Prohibition era Charleston. From there guests will explore the historic district and sites associated with influential women in awe inspiring tales of adversity and strength. Guests will finish the tour in a second bar establishment. This tour is designed with a focus on historic women of Charleston but promises to be an adventure for guests of all backgrounds and the first of its kind being offered in Charleston. *** To keep our price point low, Drinks are Not Included in the tour price but can be purchased from our partner establishments. ***Must be 21+

Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age for this tour? I want to buy it for my sister's birthday but she's only 22.

A: Yes, you must be 21 or older to participate in the Women and Wine Tour, as it includes stops at bars where alcohol is served. It’s a fun way to celebrate a birthday, especially in a historic city like Charleston! Just make sure your sister and her friends are of legal drinking age for the tour.

Q: What should I wear for the tour? Is it casual or more dressy?

A: Casual is the way to go! Charleston can get warm, so I’d recommend breathable clothes and comfy shoes since you'll be walking a decent bit. It’s not super formal, so no need to dress up too much. Just come ready to enjoy some great stories and drinks!

Q: Can you reschedule if something comes up? I want to buy this for my friend but we might have a conflict.

A: Yes, rescheduling is possible! However, it's best to contact the tour provider as soon as you know of any changes. They’re generally pretty accommodating, but it’s good to give them as much notice as possible. Just be mindful of their cancellation policy for any potential fees.
