We offer two seasonal clear kayak tours here: Manatee Season Tours (Nov 15–Mar 31): focused on spotting these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Summer Springs Tours (Apr 1–Nov 14): all about spring-hopping, wildlife, and swimming in stunning freshwater springs. You’ll paddle through crystal-clear water in a 100% clear kayak with a local guide, spotting fish, birds, turtles - and maybe even a manatee or dolphin. Q: What's the age limit for kids on the clear kayak tours?

A: Kids are totally welcome! For the clear kayak tours, they recommend children be at least 5 years old to paddle with an adult. They do offer tandem kayaks, so younger kids can sit with you. Just make sure they’re comfortable wearing a life jacket. It’s a super family-friendly experience!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our tour?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, they usually contact you to reschedule. Safety is their priority, especially with storms. They’re pretty flexible with rescheduling, so don’t stress too much! Just check the forecast and maybe have a backup date in mind.

Q: Can you swim during the Summer Springs Tours? What should I wear?

A: Absolutely, swimming is part of the Summer Springs Tours! You’ll wanna bring a swimsuit and maybe some water shoes for the rocks. The springs are crystal clear and beautiful, so definitely take a dip! Just remember to wear sunscreen since you’ll be out in the sun a lot.

Thinking about gifting the Chassahowitzka River kayak tour for my parents!

I found this clear kayak tour in Crystal River and it looks amazing! It's perfect for my parents who love nature but haven’t kayaked before. I’m a little worried they might find it tough, though. Has anyone done it? How was the experience? They’re hoping to see some manatees too!

Just did the Summer Springs Tour and wow!

I took the Summer Springs Tour last weekend and it was a blast! The water is so clear, you can see all the fish swimming below. We even spotted a few turtles and got to swim in Seven Sisters Springs. I definitely recommend it! Just don’t forget your sunscreen and a towel!
