Q&A
A: Yes, you can typically reschedule due to weather. Just make sure to contact the provider (Auroraquest) as soon as possible, and they’ll work with you to find a new date. They understand that weather in Alaska can be unpredictable, especially in winter!
A: The best time for the Aurora Tour is during the winter months, from late September to early April. This is when the nights are longest, giving you the best chance of seeing the northern lights. Just be prepared for cold temperatures!
A: Kids are welcome at the hot springs! There’s no strict age limit, but it's good to monitor them since the water can get quite warm. Just make sure to bring swim gear and maybe a floatie for younger kids.

Just booked the Chena Hot Springs Aurora Tour for next month!
I’m super excited! I bought this experience for my partner. We’re going to soak in the hot springs and hopefully see the auroras. I’ve heard the Ice Museum is really cool too. Anyone else done this? Any tips on what to wear? I want to be prepared for the cold!
Anyone else have mixed feelings about the Chena Hot Springs Aurora Tour?
So I did the tour last week and the hot springs were awesome, but we barely saw the auroras. It was cloudy most of the night. The Ice Museum was neat, but just felt like the lights were a letdown. Is it hit or miss for everyone?
