Q&A
A: Yes, you can reschedule your tour if the weather conditions aren't ideal. Just reach out to the provider, and they'll help you find another date. They’re pretty accommodating, especially since they want everyone to have the best experience possible!
A: I'd recommend wearing a swimsuit and bringing a robe or something warm to put on when you're out of the water. Evenings can get chilly in Alaska, so layers are key! Plus, don’t forget water shoes if you have ’em—makes walking around the resort easier.
A: Great question! There isn't a strict age limit, but it’s really best for kids who can enjoy the hot springs and the ride there. I took my 10-year-old, and they had a blast! Just be aware that younger kids might need extra supervision in the hot springs.

Just booked the Chena Hot Springs tour—any tips?
I just bought tickets for the Chena Hot Springs tour for my partner’s birthday! I’m so excited! We’re going in mid-September, and I’m hoping the aurora pops up. Any tips for the hot springs or must-do activities while we’re there? I heard the views on the way are breathtaking. Can’t wait!
Can’t believe I experienced the Chena Hot Springs!
I went on the Chena Hot Springs tour last week and wow, what a day! The ride from Fairbanks was scenic. Our driver pointed out moose and other wildlife, which was super cool. The hot springs were so relaxing. The water was perfect, and the atmosphere was just amazing. If you get the chance, definitely do it, even if the aurora doesn’t show!
