Amy Bizzarri, author of "Chicago's Iconic Dishes, Desserts, and Drinks," has curated this tour of Chicago's most historic cocktail hotspots. You'll learn some history, a bit of architecture, and have the opportunity to enjoy some of the best drinks the city has to offer! A perfect experience for a last-minute, grown-up night out! This tour is app-guided, so you can start and stop and restart at your convenience. Feel free to break the experience up over several days, if you are not up for a one-day cocktail crawl! The eATLAS app will guide you to each of the 6 stops in the heart of Chicago's Loop. They are all within an easy walking distance. The drinking age is 21 years old, so be prepared to show ID if you are planning on drinking cocktails. A specific drink is recommended but not required at each stop. The cost of food and drinks is NOT included in the Adventure. This is the Part 1 of a 2-part series of cocktail-focused tours. Be sure to check out Part 2!

Q&A

Q: What happens if it rains? Can we still do the tour?

A: Since this is an app-guided tour, you can choose when to go and can easily reschedule if the weather isn't great. Just keep an eye on the forecast and plan accordingly! If it rains, you might want to take umbrellas along since you'll be walking between stops in the Loop.

Q: Is this suitable for a group of friends or more of a solo experience?

A: This tour is perfect for groups! You can split up the stops over a few days if you want to take your time. Just remember that the drinking age is 21, so everyone in your group needs to have ID if they're planning on trying the cocktails.

Q: How much should we budget for drinks and food during the tour?

A: The drinks can range from $10 to $15 each at the stops, depending on where you go. I'd say budgeting around $40-$60 per person for drinks should cover you comfortably. Food is extra, so if you plan to eat, you might want to add another $20-$30 per person.

Just did the Chicago Cocktail Adventure Part 1! So much fun!

I recently did the Cocktail Adventure tour in Chicago and it was awesome! The app was super easy to use, and we hit up some great cocktail spots in the Loop. I loved learning the history behind each place! The drinks were also really good, though I wish I had budgeted a bit more for food because we got hungry. Overall, a great night out!

Is Chicago Cocktail Adventure Part 1 worth it as a gift?

I'm thinking of gifting this Cocktail Adventure to my sister and her boyfriend for their anniversary. They love trying new drinks and exploring the city. I’m just a little unsure if it's worth it since I haven’t tried it myself. Anyone have insights? How fun is it really?
