Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to go on the Chicago Highlights Running Tour?

A: The best time is definitely spring or early fall! The weather is usually mild, perfect for running. Summer can get hot and humid, while winter is just too cold for most. Keep an eye on the forecast, though; they usually run regardless unless there's severe weather.

Q: Are there any age limits for the running tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but it’s recommended for ages 12 and up since it’s a running tour. Younger kids can join if they’re comfortable running, but remember, it’s about 5-6 miles total with breaks for stops.

Q: What should I wear for the running tour?

A: Wear comfortable running shoes and moisture-wicking clothes. Layers are a good idea, especially in spring and fall when temperatures can change. Also, bring a water bottle, though they usually have water breaks during the tour.

I’m thinking of getting this running tour for my brother's birthday. He loves running and is obsessed with Chicago’s history. The stops along the Lake Michigan shoreline sound amazing! Anyone done this? How’s the pacing? I don’t want him to feel rushed.
