Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the fireworks cruise?

A: There's no strict age limit for the Tall Ship Windy fireworks cruise! Kids are definitely welcome, but keep in mind it might be a late night for younger ones since the cruise typically starts around 9 PM depending on the fireworks schedule. It's a great outing for families, especially if they love boats and fireworks!

Q: How do we handle parking since it's at Navy Pier? Any tips?

A: Parking can be a bit tricky during fireworks events at Navy Pier due to huge crowds. I recommend arriving early to secure a spot. There’s a parking garage at Navy Pier itself, but it fills up fast. Alternatively, you could take public transport or rideshare to avoid the hassle!

Q: What happens if it rains? Do they still do the cruise?

A: This is a rain or shine event! The cruise will still happen even if it's raining, so be prepared for wet weather. Just know that umbrellas can't be opened on the ship while underway, so maybe bring a poncho instead. It can actually be really beautiful with the rain reflecting the lights!

Thinking of gifting the Tall Ship Windy fireworks cruise - any thoughts?

I’m considering getting this cruise for my sister’s birthday in November. She’s a big fan of fireworks and loves sailing! Just wondering if anyone’s done it? I know it’s at Navy Pier and you get a great view of the skyline, but what’s the vibe like? Is it romantic or more family-friendly? Any tips for a first-timer?

Tall Ship Windy Fireworks Cruise Experience - Worth it?

I keep seeing posts about the Tall Ship Windy fireworks cruise and I'm super intrigued. Anyone who’s gone care to share? I want to know if the views are really worth it and how the soundtrack mixes with the fireworks. Also, is it crowded? I don't mind crowds, but just curious!
