Q&A
A: Late spring to early fall is definitely the best time for wildlife viewing. June to September is prime time when bears come down to the rivers for salmon. Just keep in mind that weather can change quickly, so be prepared for anything! I went in August and saw tons of eagles and even a bear fishing.
A: Kids are definitely welcome on this tour! There’s no specific age limit, but it's a good idea to check with the provider if you have very young children. They might need to sit with an adult during the boat ride, but I've seen families with kids as young as 4 enjoying the experience. Just make sure to bring some snacks and a jacket.
A: Yes, they do! The tour operator is really good about checking the weather. If conditions aren't safe, they’ll either reschedule or offer a full refund. We had to postpone our trip due to rain, but they were super accommodating and we ended up going later in the summer when it was sunny!

Just got back from the Chilkoot Lake tour and wow!
I just did the Chilkoot Lake Nature and Wildlife Viewing tour and it was amazing! The catamaran ride was wild, those waterfalls are something you have to see to believe. We spotted a few eagles and the lake was just stunning, like something out of a postcard. Totally worth it, and the lunch was actually pretty good too. Highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves nature!
Looking to book Chilkoot Lake for my parents' anniversary!
Hey everyone! I'm thinking about booking this Chilkoot Lake experience for my parents' anniversary. They love being outdoors and I think they’d really enjoy the wildlife viewing. Can anyone share tips on what to wear? I want them to be comfy but also prepared since I know the weather can change fast!
