Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the Chinatown Food Tour?

A: No age restrictions! This tour is definitely family-friendly. I've gone with my kids and they loved the dumplings. Just ensure that younger ones are able to keep up with walking, since it does involve some walking around Chinatown. Also, maybe check in with the chef if there are any specific concerns.

Q: What should I wear on the Chinatown Food Tour?

A: Definitely wear comfy shoes! You'll be walking a lot, and you want to enjoy the food without blisters. Dress casually too; it can get hot and humid in the summer, so light fabrics are good. Also, if it’s rainy, bring an umbrella since portions of the tour are outside.

Q: What happens if it rains on the day of our tour?

A: If it rains, the tour typically goes on, but the chef might adjust the route slightly to stay under awnings or cover. Just be sure to dress appropriately for the weather! If there’s severe weather, they may reschedule, so it's best to keep in touch with the provider ahead of time.

Thinking of gifting the Chinatown Food Tour! Anyone tried it?

I'm considering this Chinatown Food Tour for my sister’s birthday. She loves food and exploring different neighborhoods. I saw that they taste BBQ pork buns, dumplings, and Peking duck pancakes, which all sound amazing! Just curious about the overall vibe and if it’s worth the price? Any recommendations on what to ask the chef?

Just did the Chinatown Food Tour — WOW!

I just got back from the Chinatown Food Tour in Manhattan and it exceeded my expectations. The chef was incredible and shared such cool stories about the area! The dumplings were my favorite, but the BBQ pork bun was a close second. Totally recommend this for a fun day out with friends or family!
