Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for the Chinatown Walking Food Tour?

A: There's no strict age limit for the tour! It's great for all ages, but keep in mind that younger kids might not appreciate the history or enjoy the food as much. Just make sure they’re able to walk around for a bit, since we cover several blocks. It's really a fun way to introduce older kids to different cultures and flavors!

Q: If it rains, do they cancel the tour?

A: They usually run rain or shine. Your guide will adjust the itinerary if needed, and there are some indoor stops like Nom Wah Tea Parlor. Just be sure to check the forecast and dress accordingly. If it's expected to be really bad, they might reach out to reschedule.

Q: Is there parking available near the starting point?

A: Parking can be tricky in Chinatown, but there are a few garages a few blocks away. I'd recommend the one on Bowery and Canal, and it’s usually reasonably priced for a few hours. Just keep in mind the street parking can be tough to find, and street cleaning is a thing!

Just got back from the Chinatown Walking Food Tour!

Wow, what an experience! We hit up Fried Dumpling first and those dumplings were so good and cheap! Then we went to Nom Wah and the dim sum was out of this world. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of the area too, which made it feel so special. Definitely recommend it as a gift for food lovers!

Considering the Chinatown Walking Food Tour for a gift!

I'm looking for a unique birthday gift for my foodie friend, and this tour sounds perfect! I love that it includes snacks and goes through Columbus Park. I’m just worried about if it'll be too much walking. Has anyone found it difficult?
