Q&A

Q: Are there any age limits for the Christmas Lights Tour?

A: There's no strict age limit for the tour, but I'd say it's perfect for all ages! Families with young kids seem to enjoy it the most. Just keep in mind that some locations, like Dumbo and the Rockefeller Center, can get quite crowded during the holiday season. Make sure everyone in your group can handle that. It's really a magical experience for kids and adults alike!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather turns bad, Joy Vacations Club will usually notify you a day in advance. They have a flexible rescheduling policy, so they’ll help you find a new date. Just keep an eye on your email the day before, and they’ll give you the scoop. Most tours happen rain or shine unless it’s really severe!

Q: What's the best way to get to the tour starting point, and is parking available?

A: The tour usually starts in Midtown Manhattan, and the best way to get there is by subway. Parking can be a nightmare in that area, plus it tends to be expensive. If you really need to drive, look for nearby garages, but I recommend public transport to save time and avoid stress. The subway stops are pretty close to the meeting point, so it’s super convenient!

Thinking of gifting the Christmas Lights Tour! Any tips?

I’m planning to gift the Christmas Lights Tour in NYC to my parents. I’ve heard Dyker Heights is super festive! Are there any must-see spots? Also, how long does the tour typically last? They’re not huge fans of cold weather, so I’m curious if it gets too chilly. Any insights would be appreciated!

Just did the Christmas Lights Tour—so magical!

I went on the Christmas Lights Tour last week, and wow! Dyker Heights was like a winter wonderland. The houses there are ridiculously decorated. The air-conditioned vehicle was nice, especially since it was a bit nippy out. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to soak in the holiday spirit!
