Q&A
A: There's no specific age limit for the City and Mountain Summit tour, which makes it family-friendly! Just keep in mind, the tour does involve some walking at various stops, so younger kids might need a little help. I'd recommend bringing a stroller if you have little ones. Overall, it's a great experience for kids and adults alike!
A: Definitely dress in layers! While it can be warm down in the town, it gets chilly up at the Mountain Summit. A light jacket or fleece is a good idea, and don't forget comfortable shoes for walking. I wore sneakers and was totally fine, but if you're hiking, maybe consider boots. Also, a hat and sunglasses are smart too!
A: Yes, you can reschedule, but it's best to do it at least 24 hours in advance. Just call the provider directly, and they'll work with you on finding an alternative date. They’re super friendly and accommodating, so don’t stress too much if plans change!

Just did the City and Mountain Summit tour—absolutely loved it!
I took the City and Mountain Summit Shore Excursion in Skagway last week and it was such a blast! Our guide knew so much about the gold rush days and made it super fun. The views at the Skagway Overlook were breathtaking. We even got to stop for pictures at the Welcome to Alaska sign and some gorgeous waterfalls. I'd highly recommend it for anyone visiting Skagway. Bring a camera for sure!
Considering gifting the City and Mountain Summit tour!
I'm thinking about getting this tour for my parents who are visiting Alaska soon. They love history and scenery! Has anyone else done the tour, and is it suitable for older folks? I wanna make sure it’s not too strenuous for them.
