Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Scenic Buffet Lunch Cruise?

A: No specific age limit for kids, but keep in mind the cruise is more suited for ages 5 and up since there's a buffet and some entertainment. It’s a great way to introduce them to iconic sights like the Washington Monument while enjoying a nice meal. Just be prepared that younger kids might need some supervision.

Q: What's the parking situation like near the cruise boarding area?

A: There are several parking garages nearby, but they can fill up fast, especially on weekends. I recommend arriving about 30 minutes early to find a spot. Some garages charge around $20 for a few hours, but it’s worth it to avoid stress. Alternatively, using rideshare can save you the hassle!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule our cruise?

A: If the weather looks bad, they’ll usually contact you ahead of time to discuss rescheduling options. They’re pretty accommodating, so you should be able to pick a different date without too much hassle. Just make sure to keep an eye on emails after booking!

Thinking of gifting the Scenic Buffet Lunch Cruise in D.C. - any thoughts?

I'm looking to gift this lunch cruise to my parents who are visiting D.C. next month. They've never been on a cruise before, so I'm excited! I've read about the buffet and the views, but I'm curious about the entertainment. Is the DJ music good? Also, is it more laid-back, or does it get really lively? Any tips would be appreciated!

Just got back from the lunch cruise! Here’s my review!

I took the Scenic Buffet Lunch Cruise last weekend with some friends, and it was AMAZING! The food was surprisingly delicious, and the views of the monuments were breathtaking. We even danced a bit to the DJ's tunes! Just a heads up, the buffet can get crowded at peak times, so go early if you can. Totally recommend it for a fun day out in D.C. 🌞
