Q&A
A: There’s no strict age limit, but the tour is best suited for kids aged 10 and up since they need to handle a bike comfortably for about 6-10 miles. If your kids are younger, just make sure they can ride well and keep pace. It’s a fun way to learn about history while being active!
A: If the weather’s really bad, like heavy rain or storms, the tour will likely be rescheduled or canceled. You can contact PortCity Bike Tours directly to check their policy and options for rescheduling. They’re usually pretty accommodating about it!
A: The paths are generally beginner-friendly, with some small hills. Most people ride at a comfortable pace, and the guides are super helpful. If you can ride a bike and are okay with a bit of a workout, you'll definitely have a good time!

Thinking of gifting the Portsmouth Historic Bike Tour – thoughts?
I’m considering this bike tour in Portsmouth for my parents' anniversary. They love history and biking! I saw it includes a ride by the Piscataqua River and Little Harbor, which sounds scenic. Just wondering if it’s worth it and how the guides are? Also, do they provide helmets? Any tips for first-timers?
Just did the Portsmouth Bike Tour!
I just got back from the bike tour and I had a blast! The architecture is breathtaking, and we even stopped at the Wentworth Coolidge Mansion. I was a bit worried about the hills, but it wasn’t too hard. Totally recommend it for anyone who likes a mix of exercise and history. I’d definitely do it again!
