Q&A

Q: Is there any age limit for the safari? Can my 3-year-old join?

A: Unfortunately, kids need to be at least 4 years old to join the safari at Safari West. It's a great experience for families, and my kids loved it when we went. Just plan for some fun activities if you have younger ones, or maybe wait a year!

Q: What should we wear for the safari? Is it bumpy?

A: Dress comfortably! I’d recommend wearing layers since it can get chilly in the morning but warmer in the afternoon. You should definitely wear closed-toe shoes too, as the safari vehicles can be bumpy. It was a blast, but I was glad I had my sneakers on!

Q: If we have to reschedule, how does that work?

A: You can reschedule your safari adventure by calling Safari West at least 48 hours in advance. They’re super flexible, and it's a good idea to have a backup date just in case. Just check their calendar for availability when you want to book again!

Took my family to Safari West and it was AMAZING!

Just got back from the Classic Safari Adventure at Safari West in Santa Rosa! We had a blast seeing all the animals up close, especially the giraffes! The guides were super knowledgeable, and it was so cool learning about conservation efforts. I took my kids (ages 5 and 8), and they can't stop talking about the lemurs. Totally worth the $0.00, and we felt good supporting wildlife! Highly recommend it as a family gift!

Considering Safari West for a gift - any advice?

I’m thinking about getting a safari adventure for my brother's family. They’ve got kids aged 6 and 9, and I'm hoping it’ll be a fun outing. I've heard great things, but I'd love any tips on booking and what to expect. Is the drive to Santa Rosa tough? Any advice would be super helpful!
