Q&A
A: Yes, the Clear Creek Classic rafting trip is great for families! Kids as young as 7 years old can usually participate, but it’s always best to call the provider to confirm. They usually have safety gear for all ages, so your kids will be well-equipped. Just make sure they're comfortable with paddling, as it’s a hands-on experience.
A: Wear something you don't mind getting wet! The provider gives you a wetsuit and splash jacket, but you should wear a swimsuit underneath. Water shoes or sandals that strap on are ideal since you'll be in and out of the raft. Just make sure your clothes are comfy enough for paddling and moving around.
A: Parking is pretty straightforward! There's a designated lot at the Mild to Wild Rafting center, and they usually have enough space, even on busy weekends. Just arrive a bit early to secure a spot and get settled before your trip starts. Plus, it's a good time to check in and get your gear.

Just got back from the Clear Creek Classic rafting trip!
I recently took the Clear Creek Classic trip with my family, and wow, what an experience! The rapids were just the right level of excitement for my kids (ages 10 and 12). We loved the stunning views of the canyon, and the guides were super helpful. Definitely bring water shoes and a good sense of humor because we got splashed a LOT! Overall, a fantastic way to spend a few hours outdoors!
Considering the Clear Creek Classic for a gift!
I'm thinking of gifting this rafting trip for my brother's birthday. He loves outdoor activities, but he's never been rafting before. Is this trip beginner-friendly? I just don’t want it to be too intense for him. Also, how’s the weather usually in late September?
