Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids to join the Clear Creek Falls hike?

A: There's no strict age limit, but the hike is considered moderate, so kids should be 8 years or older to keep up with the pace and terrain. If you have younger kids, you might wanna gauge their hiking experience first. It's a beautiful trail, and kids usually enjoy seeing the waterfalls!

Q: What should I wear for the Clear Creek Falls hike? Is it muddy?

A: Definitely wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots since the trail can get a bit muddy, especially after rain. Dress in layers so you're comfortable with changing temperatures. I'd suggest moisture-wicking clothing too because it can get sweaty, especially on the way up!

Q: Can plans be changed if the weather is bad on the day of the hike?

A: Yes! If the weather looks bad, the guides are great about rescheduling to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment. It’s best to keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your hike. You can usually contact the provider directly to set up a new date, so no worries!

Thinking of gifting the Clear Creek Falls hike! Any thoughts?

I’m considering getting the Clear Creek Falls hike experience for my sister’s birthday. She loves nature and hiking but hasn't done much in the Smokies. I heard the waterfalls are beautiful and that you get a naturalist guide. Is it worth it? What do you guys think? I want her to have an unforgettable day!

I just did the Clear Creek Falls hike — here’s my experience!

I went on the Clear Creek Falls hike last weekend and it was amazing! The naturalist guide was super friendly and taught us a ton about the local ecosystem. The waterfalls were gorgeous! If you're thinking about going, make sure to bring a camera and some water. It was moderate but totally doable for most people. Highly recommend it!
