Q&A

Q: Are there any age restrictions for the Clear Kayak or Paddleboard Manatee Adventure?

A: There aren't strict age limits, but kids should be at least 5 years old to join in the kayaks or on the paddleboards. It's a family-friendly activity, and younger kids might ride with an adult in a tandem kayak. Just make sure everyone is comfortable in the water!

Q: What should we wear for this kayaking adventure? Any tips on what to bring?

A: Wear something comfortable and quick-drying, like athletic shorts and a moisture-wicking top. Don't forget sunscreen and a hat, since you’ll be out in the sun a lot. Water shoes are recommended too, as you might be stepping in and out of the water. Bringing a towel and change of clothes is a good idea just in case!

Q: How likely are we to see manatees during the tour? What's the best time of year for sightings?

A: Manatees are most commonly seen from late fall through early spring, especially in the cooler months when they seek warmer waters. While sightings aren’t guaranteed, the guides are great at finding them if they're around. Keep your camera ready just in case!

Just did the Clear Kayak Adventure and it was amazing!

I recently took the Clear Kayak Manatee Adventure at Silver Springs, and wow! The water is crystal clear, and we saw a couple of manatees swimming around, which was breathtaking. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the park's wildlife. The monkeys were a fun surprise too! I'll definitely be going back, maybe as a gift for my family next time.

Thinking of gifting the Clear Paddleboard Adventure!

I’m looking at getting the Clear Paddleboard Manatee Adventure for my friend’s birthday. She loves nature and kayaking. Has anyone done it? What’s the best time to go and how’s the board stability? I want her to have a great experience!
