Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to do the Clear Kayak Paddle Tour? Does the weather affect the experience?

A: Honestly, late spring to early fall is the sweet spot for this tour. The weather is generally warm, and the water is clearer, plus you can swim! Just keep an eye on the forecast as storms can pop up in the spring. If it rains, they may cancel the tour, but you can reschedule easily if that happens.

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the Clear Kayak Paddle Tour? My niece is 10, would she be able to join?

A: Kids are totally welcome! As long as they can fit in the life jackets provided, they can join. I took my 9-year-old, and she had a blast. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water since swimming is an option.

Q: How's the parking situation at Lake Tahoe for this tour? Any tips?

A: Parking can be tricky during peak times! There’s a designated parking area near the launch site, but it fills up quickly. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to snag a spot. I'd recommend carpooling if you can – way easier!
