Established in 1999, Encounters With Dolphins has been safely providing guests the opportunity to view dolphins, learn about Clearwater and enjoy the sand and sun on Compass Island and maybe even take a dip on the island! We are a small business founded on the principal of wanting our guests to have the same experiences we would want to have on our own vacation. We’re also proud of the fact that almost all of our staff are either marine biologist, conservationist or experts in marine wildlife. All of us work tirelessly to ensure that all of our customers have an enjoyable and relaxing time with us!

Q: Are there any age limits for the Clearwater Encounters with Dolphins Tour?

A: There aren't strict age limits, but kids should be at least 5 years old to fully enjoy the experience. It's really designed for families, so younger kids can come along but might not get as much out of it. Just double-check with the provider if you have really young ones!

Q: What should I wear for the dolphin tour? Is it totally a wet experience?

A: You should definitely wear a swimsuit if you plan to take a dip on Compass Island! Also, water shoes or sandals are great since the sand can get hot. Bring a towel and sunscreen too, since you'll be out in the sun.

Q: What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate on the tour day?

A: If the weather is bad, they usually reschedule to the next available date. You just need to contact them as soon as possible. They’re pretty accommodating, but it's good to stay flexible!

Just got back from the Clearwater Dolphin Tour - WOW!

I just took the Clearwater Encounters with Dolphins Tour and it was such a fantastic experience! We saw dolphins swimming right next to the boat! Plus, getting to hang out on Compass Island was just the cherry on top. The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely wear sunscreen and pack a towel. Can't wait to go again!
