Happening at our farm you will learn how to brew your coffee at home like a pro. Our experience barista will provide all the basic knowledge necessary for brewing. Coffee brewing can be very simple with very little equipment and it can change the way you taste coffee. During this workshop we will brew the same coffee three different ways, and you will experience the differences of taste. All this is happening in our roasting room where you will also be able to see the roaster. And if you have time you can also add a free farm tour before or after the workshop.

Q&A

Q: What should I wear to the coffee brewing workshop? Is it going to be messy?

A: I'd recommend wearing something comfortable, but you might want to avoid your best clothes just in case. The workshop is interactive, and sometimes coffee can spill! Also, it can get a bit warm in the roasting room, so layers are good. Bring an apron if you have one!

Q: Is there an age limit for the coffee brewing workshop? Can kids join?

A: Yes, kids can definitely join! The workshop is designed to be fun for all ages. Just keep in mind that younger kids may need some help with the brewing process. It’s a great family activity, and they’ll enjoy tasting the coffee. Just be sure they’re supervised!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the workshop? Can we reschedule?

A: You can absolutely reschedule if the weather isn’t cooperating. Just reach out to Hala Tree Coffee directly, and they’ll help you find a new date that works. They’re pretty flexible and want to make sure you have a great time!

Just did the coffee brewing workshop at Hala Tree Coffee!

OMG, you guys! I just got back from the coffee brewing workshop on the Big Island, and it was amazing! We learned to brew coffee three different ways and got to taste each one. The roaster room is so cool, and the barista was super knowledgeable. Plus, I got to sample their Kona coffee, which was a game-changer for me. Honestly, I think this would make the perfect gift for any coffee lover!

Looking for a unique gift? Coffee workshop thoughts!

I'm thinking about gifting this coffee brewing workshop to my boyfriend. He loves coffee but hasn’t really experimented much with brewing methods. Has anyone done this? How fun is it? Also, any tips on making it special?
