Q&A
A: The tour is generally suitable for ages 5 and up. However, younger kids need to be accompanied by an adult. Just make sure everyone knows how to paddle a kayak, since it's a bit more challenging for littler ones. It’s a fantastic experience for families, so don’t hesitate to bring the kids as long as they can handle being out on the water!
A: Yeah, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, Lone Star Kayak Tours will usually give you the option to reschedule. They monitor conditions closely to ensure everyone's safety. Just reach out to them as soon as you know there's a problem, and they’ll help you find another date! I’d recommend booking a little ahead so you have options if you need to change plans.
A: Dress comfortably! Wear a swimsuit or quick-dry clothes since you might get splashed. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat since you’ll be out in the open. Closed-toed shoes are also a good idea. You can bring a light jacket if it gets chilly, especially as the sun sets. Just keep it casual and enjoy the paddle!

Just booked the Bat Bridge Kayak Tour for my anniversary!
I’m super excited! We’ve been wanting to see the bats under the Congress Avenue Bridge, and kayaking seems like a fun way to do it. I’m a little nervous about paddling though, since I’m not the most experienced, but the tour includes a lesson which is reassuring. It’s a 2-hour tour, so I hope we can really get up close to the bats! Anyone done this before? What was it like?
Is the Congress Avenue Bat Bridge Kayak Tour worth it?
Thinking about gifting this to my brother for his birthday. He's kinda into wildlife and nature. I heard the bats are really cool to see at sunset, but is it actually worth the price? Anyone think it's a good gift idea? What else does it involve?
