Q&A
A: Late spring and early fall are ideal! The bats are super active during these times and the weather is usually perfect for paddleboarding. Summer can be hot, but you’ll still see the bats. Just bring plenty of water and sunscreen!
A: Yes, kids 12 and up can paddle their own board, but younger ones can ride along as passengers if they’re with an adult. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water and wearing a life jacket!
A: Absolutely! They have a flexible rescheduling policy for weather-related cancellations. Just contact them as soon as you can to pick a new date, and you’ll be good to go!

Just did the Bat Bridge Paddleboard Tour—amazing experience!
I went on the Bat Bridge Paddleboard Tour last weekend and it was incredible! The guides were super chill and gave us great info about the bats. We paddled out just before sunset, and seeing the city skyline against the twilight was breathtaking. The bats started flying out from under the bridge right on cue—it felt magical! Highly recommend this if you’re looking for a unique experience in Austin!
Considering gifting the Bat Bridge Tour—any tips?
I’m thinking of getting my boyfriend the Bat Bridge Paddleboard Tour for his birthday. We love being outdoors! What should I know? Is it challenging? Any tips on what to wear or bring?
