Q&A
A: The summer months, especially June through August, are prime time for Crab Island! The weather is warm, and the water is perfect for swimming. Just keep in mind, it can get really crowded, so if you prefer a quieter experience, consider going in late spring or early fall. Also, try to start early in the day for the best chance to spot dolphins!
A: There aren't strict age restrictions, but all children need to wear life vests at all times. If you're bringing little ones, just make sure to have a good plan for supervising them on the water. Also, it's helpful to check in with the crew to see if they have any special recommendations for families.
A: If the weather looks bad, Destiny Water Adventures will usually contact you to discuss rescheduling options. They'll work with you to find a new date or time that fits. It's a good idea to keep an eye on the forecast as your rental date approaches and communicate with them if anything seems off.

Just got back from our Crab Island trip - it was amazing!
We rented a pontoon from Destiny Water Adventures last week, and it was the highlight of our vacation! The boat was super comfortable, and we loved cruising around Destin. We actually saw a pod of dolphins while we were out there, which made it even better. Crab Island was fun but crowded. We ended up anchoring at one of the nearby spoil islands for a quieter experience. Highly recommend bringing a cooler with drinks!
Thinking of gifting the pontoon rental for my parents' anniversary!
I want to surprise my parents with a Crab Island pontoon rental for their anniversary. They love the beach and boating but haven't done anything like this before. Any tips for making it a great experience? Do they provide everything they need on the boat?
