Q&A
A: Great question! The pub crawl happens rain or shine, so definitely be prepared for the weather. I’d recommend wearing a waterproof jacket and comfy shoes, since you’ll be walking between bars. Sometimes they have umbrellas available too, but it’s best to bring your own just in case!
A: Yes! The pub crawl is for ages 21 and up since it involves alcohol at the various stops. If you’re thinking about gifting it to someone younger, maybe combine it with a visit to one of Asheville’s non-bar attractions instead!
A: Comfort is key! Wear comfy shoes since you’ll be walking a bit. I’d also suggest layering your clothes, especially since it can get chilly in the evening. If you want to join in on the fun, wearing something a bit whimsical or spooky could be a nice touch!

Just did the Cryptids & Creatures Pub Crawl—what a night!
I went on the Cryptids & Creatures Pub Crawl last weekend, and it was such a unique experience! Angus, our guide, was hilarious and shared some seriously creepy stories about the Mothman and the Brown Mountain Lights. We hit four bars along South Slope, and each one had its own vibe. Definitely a great gift idea for friends who enjoy a mix of history and ghost stories. Just be ready to walk and enjoy a few brews!
Considering gifting the Cryptids & Creatures Pub Crawl
I’m thinking about gifting the Cryptids & Creatures Pub Crawl for my partner’s birthday. He loves all things supernatural! Just wondering if anyone knows how long it typically lasts and whether it’s worth it? Any fun stories from your crawls?
