During this trip we will search for our world famous wild manatees that give Crystal River the title of "The Manatee Capital of the World." Q: Is there an age limit for kids to go on this cruise?

A: There’s no specific age limit for kids, but they need to be able to sit comfortably and follow safety instructions. It’s great for all ages, but I’d recommend it for kids at least 5 and up to get the most out of it. We brought our 7-year-old, and he loved spotting the manatees!

Q: What should I wear for the manatee cruise? Is it cold out on the water?

A: Definitely wear layers! It can get a bit chilly on the water, especially in the morning. I’d recommend a light jacket and comfortable shoes. Sunglasses are a must too, especially if it’s sunny. You might want to wear something you don’t mind getting a little wet, just in case!

Q: What happens if the weather's bad? Can you reschedule?

A: If the weather's not cooperating, they usually do allow for rescheduling. Just call ahead to confirm. Sometimes they might cancel if conditions are unsafe, but they’re really good about keeping you updated. We had to reschedule once, and it was super easy!

We did the Crystal River Manatee Viewing Cruise last week and it was incredible! The captain was super knowledgeable, and we got to see so many manatees up close. The bottled water was a nice touch too! Just make sure to arrive early, the location is easy to find but parking can get crowded. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique experience!
