During the winter months hundreds of manatees congregate in the springs and you can't beat viewing these amazing animals up close from a stand up paddle board or kayak. Although Manatee season is during the winter time, resident manatees can still be spotted in the waterways year round. King’s Bay has more to offer than just manatees however, so whatever the time of year we'd love to get you out on the water to explore it! We have an excellent map so you can navigate the bay easily and save money by not paying for a guide. We will go over the map with you in detail before launch so you know how to get to the springs and where to look for manatees.

A: There's no strict age limit, but kids under 12 usually need an adult with them on the water. It’s perfect for families! Just make sure the little ones can handle a paddle board and wear their life jackets. You should be good to go!

I’m thinking of gifting this paddle board rental to my partner for their birthday! The idea of seeing manatees up close is so cool, and I love that it includes all the gear and parking. Is it as easy as it sounds, or should I be worried about balancing on the board? Any tips would be awesome!

Just came back from paddle boarding with manatees!

OMG, it was incredible! We spotted like five manatees just floating around while we paddled. Crystal River is beautiful, and the rental process was smooth. Don't forget to bring water and sunscreen! I totally recommend this as a perfect gift experience!
