We provide a top-quality rental experience at a competitive price, which Includes all fees! Free parking, safety equipment, and city launch fee. All at no extra cost! Crystal River is home to one of the largest manatee populations in the world. During the winter months hundreds of manatees congregate in the springs and you can't beat viewing these amazing animals up close from a stand up paddle board or kayak. Although Manatee season is during the winter time, resident manatees can still be spotted in our waterways year round. King’s Bay has more to offer than just manatees however, so whatever the time of year we'd love to get you out on the water to explore it! We have an excellent map so you can navigate the bay easily and save money by not paying for a guide. We will go over our map with you in detail before launch so you know how to get to the springs and where to look for manatees.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for paddle boarding? Can kids join?

A: There’s no strict age limit for paddle boarding, but kids need to be able to handle the board, so it’s best for ages 8 and up. They’ll also need to wear a life jacket, which is provided. Just keep in mind that the waters can be a bit choppy depending on the weather, so good swimming skills are definitely a plus!

Q: What if the weather doesn't cooperate on the day we booked?

A: If it’s too windy or there’s rain, they’ll help you reschedule for another day. Just check your email a day before for any updates. It’s really important to prioritize safety, so don’t hesitate to ask if you’re unsure about conditions on your day!

Q: What should we wear for paddle boarding? Any tips?

A: Lightweight, quick-dry clothes are your best bet! A swimsuit and a rash guard are great for sun protection. Don’t forget a hat and sunglasses too. Bring water shoes or sandals with straps since you might get wet when launching. Sunblock is a must, even if it’s cloudy!

Has anyone done the Crystal River paddle board rental to see manatees?

I bought this experience for my partner's birthday, and we went last weekend. It was AMAZING! We saw so many manatees just chilling around. The rental place was super chill, and the map they gave us made it easy to navigate. We even found a spot where they were super close to us! Just a heads-up, get there early for a good parking spot since it can fill up. Overall, totally worth it!

Thinking about gifting the paddle board rental experience!

I want to surprise my sister with this paddle board rental since she loves manatees. Does anyone know if it’s easy for beginners? I just want to confirm it’s not too hard to balance. Also, how's the water temperature this time of year?
