Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the manatee swim tour?

A: Yes, there is an age limit for the manatee swim tour. Kids need to be at least 6 years old to participate in the swim. However, they can still join the tour as spectators if they're younger. Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water, since you'll be snorkeling!

Q: What should we wear for the manatee swim? Any tips?

A: Wear a swimsuit underneath your clothes, and definitely bring a rash guard or a lightweight long-sleeve shirt for sun protection. Water shoes are also a good idea since the springs can be slippery. Don't forget your sunscreen and a hat for when you're on the boat!

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: Absolutely! If the weather's bad, they’ll usually allow you to reschedule your tour without any penalties. Just keep an eye on their cancellation policy and give them a call to discuss your options. They’re really flexible, especially if it's for safety reasons.

Just swam with manatees at Crystal River—what an experience!

I took my family on the Semi-Private Manatee Swim Tour with Crystal River Manatee Adventures last week, and it was AMAZING! The boat was heated, which was a lifesaver since it was a bit chilly outside. We swam with manatees all around us and the guides were super friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend going early in the morning when the springs are less crowded!

Thinking of gifting the manatee swim tour—thoughts?

I’m considering getting this experience for my sister's birthday. She loves marine life. Do you think it’s suitable for someone who's not a strong swimmer? What’s the vibe like? I want it to be a great gift, but I also want to make sure it’s safe and fun for her!
